A letter now and then
What I saw, what I understood, and what I did not. Longer than a post, closer than an article.
Why a letter rather than one more feed
On social media, the algorithm decides who sees what. In an inbox, you decide. During the trip the signal will be bad and sometimes gone for ten days: the letter is the format that copes with that best. It goes out when it is ready, not when it is due.
It will hold what I put nowhere else: the decisions I am hesitating over, the refusals, what did not work, and the questions I cannot manage to phrase properly. Doubt gets published — it is often the most useful part.
No fixed rhythm. Maybe one a month before I leave, maybe more often while I am away. Never to fill space.
No ads, no address ever sold, nothing shared with anyone. An unsubscribe link in every letter, one that works first time.

Every letter stays readable here, in the version that went out. A letter that has been sent does not get rewritten.
No issues yet. The first letter will go out before I leave.
